Auckland ranked fifth out of 215 cities worldwide in the Mercer 2008 Quality of Living survey. Auckland attained fifth place again this year due to factors such as its:
– high levels of personal safety;

– attractive rental accommodation;
– good public transport;
– the excellent variety and quality of its restaurants;
– and great health care services.

According to the survey, Auckland has the best quality of living of any city in the Asia Pacific region. It also ranked second best of any English speaking city in the world, making it a great destination for anyone going abroad to study English.

Television New Zealand’s OneNews team took to the streets to ask the people of Auckland how they feel about living in the world’s fifth best city. You can see the video of their reactions here.
