Last week, despite the rain, 13 students went to the Auckland Zoo. We needn’t have worried because as we arrived, the clouds disappeared & the sun came out. The zoo is famous for its conservation programmes, helping leopards, rhinos & tigers all over the world. Everyone was excited about seeing the kiwis and tigers – 2 new babies have just been born – and sure enough, as we approached the enclosure, the proud mummy tiger came out of her den to show off her cubs.

The penguins were at the vets, so we couldn’t see them, but everyone said they wanted to go back, and we certainly will.
