After 20 wonderful years working at Languages International in a variety of roles, our talented and creative Regional Marketing Manager Larissa Merz is moving on to explore new projects and other adventures.

At Larissa’s farewell, we discovered that in addition to being an artist and dancer, our multi-talented, multi-lingual colleague, also sings beautifully. In lieu of a long good-bye speech, Larissa had the lovely idea of singing a well-known Maori song, Pokarekare Ana. Larissa sang the verses, and we all joined in with the chorus. It is such a beautiful song, and Larissa’s rendition gave many of us goose bumps.

Larissa says, “It’s been great working with you all, and I’ve learnt so much throughout my time here. It’s always tough to say goodbye to such an amazing team, but I just wanted you all to know how much I appreciate your support and constant presence.”

Our Director of Marketing and Operations Brett Shirreffs noted that we would all miss having Larissa here at Languages International not only because of her professional dedication and talents, but also for her friendship.

Larissa has done an amazing job of looking after our Russian students and our partners in Russia, Eastern Europe and Turkey. We are sure they will all miss her too. We have also been particularly lucky to have the benefit of Larissa’s artistic flair which has been an invaluable contribution to our photoshoots, brochure designs and other similar projects over the years.

Larissa, we will all miss you. We appreciate your dedication and contribution to Languages International over these last 20 years. We hope you stay in touch and wish you all the very best with your future ventures. Thank you!
